Took Charlotte to a group arranged by a parent at Matthew Arnold Children's Centre yesterday.
I only had a short time there as I was on my dinner hour from work. During our time at the group Charlotte played with toys whilst I let parents know about the existence of Down Syndrome Liverpool and what we can do for them and their children.
Hopefully those parents will log on to our website and become members, so they can enjoy the kids parties and events we organise in the future.
Charlotte's keyworker, Kathy was on hand at the group to supervise proceedings. As Charlotte bounced into the room Kathy announced: 'here's Charlotte, we call her our little inspiration.'
I felt a lot of pride at that and Kathy and all the staff at MAPS nursery and Matthew Arnold school should take a lot of credit for Lottie's progression. We have been so lucky that Charlotte has had these people around her, educating her from a very early age.
If the toddlers in that room yesterday have the opportunities Charlotte has had at MAPS and Matthew Arnold then they will be fine.
