Up the wall (quite literally) with this party - still.
Having completed emulsioning the through lounge, attentions are now turned to the problem which faces every parent: 'what do you buy a child who has everything...?'

Finished painting the walls last night. Vicky will start glossing the woodwork tonight, if she pulls her finger out!
It's hardly Colleen's 21st birthday party but all this preparation is wearing me out!

It's a busy time this week at home. Charlotte will be four on Sunday and preparations are well under way at Regan Towers.
No, not late nights after work making jellies or wrapping the 'pass the parcel' gifts in used Echo's (I knew working here would come in handy!) but bloody painting and decorating!!
Spending warm summer days indoors...

The Parental Forum offers representation from various organisations who can inform you about what is on offer both to parents and their families.

As this week is Awareness Week I have identified some key facts about the condition.
Some you may know already, others may come as a surprise such as more babies with Down’s syndrome are born to younger women. Dispelling the myth the Down's babies are born to older women.

This week is the DSA's Awareness Week. The following is a what the national association are focusing on:
Only one in five adults of working age with Down’s syndrome are in paid employment, new research from the Down’s Syndrome Association (DSA) reveals today. The research was conducted as part of the DSA’s campaign to highlight that far too many capable adults are being overlooked by potential employers due to their learning disability.
