Charlotte's school are doing a sponsored fun run to raise money for school funds. 10% of the total raised is going to be donated to Down Syndrome LIVERPOOL which is a nice gesture.
Her school, Matthew Arnold, have always been good raising money for Down Syndrome as they not only have Charlotte but two other Down's children there.
Had a committee meeting on Wednesday - the main items on the agenda was the impending Awareness Week, as well as content for the newsletter which we need to rush out (9 days to do it!) and next years 2 day conference event we are hoping to stage.
One thing that came out of the meeting was a story of a local down syndrome lad who has recently passed his driving test. A great story and a boost to all parents/carers who think their child may not be able to achieve things in life that others take for granted.
