Charlotte attended Alder Hey last week...again. Not before a trip to Smithdown Road Children's A&E! Where I encountered a grown man singing Liverpool football songs to his child. WHY?
Not only where we standing in a hot and sweaty A&E department waiting to be seen after a long day at work and an upset child - we have to endure that!
Anway, turns out she cracked a bone in her foot which they strapped up from knee to toe. She wasn't happy being imobilised I can tell you.
She's still limping a bit, but did join Katie on Saturday for a lap or two on her sponsored walk. Mostly being carried and swung!
The weather on Saturday morning was baking and, with the company of her dad, sister and grandad Katie walked 7.7 miles (12.4km). I believe at the end of the walk she was summoned by her mum to go to the market - more walking!
Today (Tuesday) she attempts 24 hours of silence all in aid of Down Syndrome LIVERPOOL.
Anyway back at Alder Hey tomorrow with Charlotte for a check up at the fracture clinic.
