Undecided

Undecided, make your mind up
There she goes, then she goes
Everyone knows she goes.
So Charlotte will be starting mainstream school in September.
We always wanted her to go to mainstream, no doubt. I hate the term 'special school' anyway. Every child is special aren't they?
The only decision we had to make was whether she went to the school associated with her nursery or to the same primary school as her two brothers. I wanted the latter, but it makes more sense to keep her with the people she knows. Everyone knows Charlotte.
September Sting...

Vicky had a meeting earlier this week to discuss Charlotte starting primary school in September this year, I couldn't attend as I was at work.
Before the meeting we had discussed that the best thing for her was to keep her back a year and wait for September 2008 as we felt she just wasn't ready for this year.
It was a decision which we agonised over, what with her being tube fed, obviously her learning difficulties and not even being potty trained.
Well...
Irish night success?

Our Irish night took place on Friday (16th March).
It was well attended, thanks to everyone who came along.
Again though the majority of the people who came were family and friends of the committee. This is becoming of some concern for me personally...

Feeding Clinic, March meeting
Posted by Thomas Regan on March 10, 2007 4:48 PM
Finally caught up with the feeding clinic...after numerous cancellations for various reasons.
Wasn't too bad, they realise Charlotte does not and has never in her 4 years ate and drunk a thing and told us they could not provide us with a solution in the short term - made an appointment for 9 months time (just before christmas - it'll soon come round!)
Nobody said it was easy...

Where to start...? Out on my lunch hour on Tuesday and I get a call from Vicky, the school had been on the phone and our eldest son Thomas has 'disclocated his shoulder!'.
Panic ensued, frantic calls to work explaining what has happened and I needed to take him to A&E. Good enough work were great with it all and I headed off to get the injured party - hospital again (he's only just healed from a broken hand!).
Anyway to cut a long afternoon short...
Back to nursery/school...AIB donation
Posted by Thomas Regan on March 6, 2007 12:35 PM
Charlotte went back to nursery/school yesterday (Monday). Which means Vicky went back to work. Back to normal then...
When I came home from work she was shattered - the baby that is! I must stop calling her a baby because she will be 4 in July, it's just she's so small for her age. Also the fact my sisterhad a baby in late December means she's not the baby no more.
School meeting cancelled, 'us' time...
Posted by Thomas Regan on March 1, 2007 11:37 PM
The meeting for deciding on a plan of action for Charlotte's future education had to be cancelled because of her chickenpox...gives us some more time to think things through i suppose.
Vicky has been looking after the baby this week, she's been quite demanding by all accounts, so we drafted my mum and dad in for some babysitting duties on Wednesday night (I say my dad, but I think he just falls asleep on the sofa!).
